Tidal Flats at Pakawau Inlet, Golden Bay

This view taken from the road between Pakawau and Puponga, leads your eye on to Farewell Spit in the distance, especially if you go Large. We drove through to the beginning of the Spit again this afternoon, loving the light on the flats and on the sky. The Spit stretches out 35km far to the right. I've marked the spot on the map where I made the image - I hope that that gives you an idea of the location.

Thanks so much everyone for keeping on commenting on my blips/images, even when I haven't been commenting in return. It's nigh on hopeless using an iPhone like this. The big advantage is that I can at least keep putting up images but I haven't been able to see yours in any detail at all; very frustrating.

However, I've been able to set up a hotspot this evening and here is an image from my Nikon D610, for a change. Tomorrow we're hope to paddle out from the Puponga inlet on a high tide and have a look out around an island.
