World famous

On an unfamiliar route into Manchester today, I passed this establishment, in Harpurhey. The Embassy Club was the "home" venue of (in)famous comedian, Bernard Manning. He was controversial for being wholly non-politically correct and, to many, sexist, racist and offensive. I personally never found him funny but wondered whether some of the bile directed at him was classist (if there is such an "ism.")
