A sign of hope?

Overnight heavy rain and strong winds meant a very wet walk to Book Club this morning, with flooded foothpaths, a very muddy park and the river in full spate again.

But when I came out of the library the clouds had cleared and a blue sky had miraculously appeared! En route home I passed this Almond Blossom (?) tree, a sign of hope that better weather and better times are ahead of us?

Looking at the photos I took of the tree reminded me of Vincent van Gogh's painting of Almond Blossom.
