Greater spotted woodpecker

Weather wet this morning and sunshine this afternoon. Had friends round for coffee this morning, went to mums later, did housework and lollipoping. When I got home from school went straight out with the camera, it was great to be out in the sun but so wet underfoot. Couldn't believe my luck when I spotted this woodpecker, shot not as good as I would have liked as on zoom but pleased to have seen it. Took quite a few shots that I liked including one of the farmers field which looks more like it should be growing rice! When will it improve?
