K is for Kick Off

Well not actually kick off as it is not a match day but I have spent the day at a conference in the hotel attached to the Stadium MK, home of MK Dons (Milton Keynes for those who don’t know). I am firmly in the camp that argues that the MK Dons should not have been allowed into the Football League as their status was a conversion from Wimbledon Football Club, who moved to Milton Keynes in 2003 and changed their name to MK Dons in 2004.

However, if you accept the situation and move on, they have a rather tidy little stadium with a capacity of just over 30,000. When they first moved, MK Dons played at the National Hockey Stadium, which no longer exists as it was on the site of the offices where I currently work.
