Tonight's Moon

Just before the snow clouds moved in on a beautiful clear sky I managed a sequence of hand-held photographs on my two Sony DSLRs. This is the best from my A-290 with a Minolta 75-300 at 300mm.
Not a rated camera for astro work, because of the CCD sensor, I continue to be impressed by the results they produce on planetary objects.
I use the RAW+JPEG option to get the benefit of the built-in noise reduction software, which really produces nice images.
I can't wait to try them on deep space photography - just need a tracking mount!
