A day of two halves

It was lashing down with rain this morning, I had to delay Dylan's walk until it eased off a little, and even then it was pretty cold.

Then after lunch the sun came out and although still cold it was a pleasant welcome. We went in for coffee and to feed the birds; this time the gulls stayed away and the swans had a look-in.

Emma came round for tea and I made chestnut soup which we had before pizza, and left over paella from yesterday.
