Cathkin Braes Commonwealth Games MTB venue

A quick ride out at lunchtime today to the new Mountain Bike venue for the CG.

I didn't ride down the actual trails as I had road tyres, but I did take a main path that goes through the middle, and could see the fabulous work completed to build such a great venue close to home.

It was very cold, and as you can see in the pic it was a lovely day.

You would never have guessed that a few hours later at 6pm, I was out in our own garden with the kids building snow animals, towing sledges, and throwing snowballs!
