Stressful day

A nice hot bubble bath & a new book to read after an awful day. Woke up with sinusitis, got an appointment at doctors. Took the kids up to the children's centre & got soaked in the process the soaked again on the way back.

Had a 50 minute wait for my appointment with a witch of a nurse who treats you like shit. All through the 50 minute wait Alfie was a nightmare :(

Got home, had dinner, tried to tidy up as much as I could without bending over too much. Had half an hour on the settee snoozing while I thought the kids were watching Mickey Mouse when they were actually distroying the house.

When it was time for Alfie's injection appointment, I went to grab Alisters coat & put it him only only for Alfie to escape out the house without me knowing & leg it down the street to the main road. Once I realised where he was he was just turning the bottom corner of the street, any longer & I wouldn't have known where he was. Me screaming his name at the top of my lungs followed for him to come back head down & me give him what for :(

Dragging him to the doctors in a right state before he even had injections was not what I had envisioned! He did so well tho, so brave & even tho it hurt he never flinched. We got in & out in record time so after mad dash home I got him stripped off & into his swimming shorts, both bundled into the car to take him for his swimming lesson. I didn't think we would make it, it's a 10 minute drive, I managed to get there in good time but we have a rail crossing to get over & the barriers went down just as I arrived at them. After the first train went over I was waiting for the barriers to go up & they didn't, after the second train went over I was thinking this has to be it let's get moving! But no, along comes another train, still the barriers stay down, I'm getting seriously pissed off by this point, we would have been on time if we had arrived a few seconds before the bloody barriers went down. Finally after sitting there over 10 minutes & 4 trains going over the barriers finally went up. We all dashed out the car, straight into pool area, I whipped his t-shirt off, his crocs off & pushed him to pool side for the lesson that had already started.

Thankfully that was an end to the major events of the day, just to get home, make tea, bath & bed both kids which is no easy task these days as I'm doing it all on my own!

Yes, by the time I had finished cleaning the kitchen & tidying the living room at 9.30pm this bath was well needed! Now I've just got to hope & pray these antibiotics start working soon.
