Sssssssshhoooooot!!!!
Just after I took this photo of the first letter of my name that someone had carved into a big log, I fell over. What a numpty. Although I have a fair few near misses I haven't actually fallen over in ages. The last near miss was at work where I saved myself right at the top of the stairs and flung out my foot, my work clog flew off and clonked an unsuspecting client who was sat on the bottom step, in the back of the head. I will never live that down. I was stood in a bramble patch to get a good photo and went to step forward and over the log, once committed to the forward motion I realised both my feet were completely caught up in the brambles. I was heading for a huge patch of mud and my only thought was to save my camera. Heidi thought it was the funniest thing she'd seen in ages, and choked out 'I told you not to stand there mummy'. To add to my embarrassment I was wearing Heidi's pink fluffy heart shaped ear muffs with princesses and sequins on. I had been holding them but wanted both hands for my camera. Hilarious to all observers and also to all the school mums as we had to race straight to pickup India.
My day had started rather grumpily, India was stuck to her bed and would not get up. As soon as I'd dropped her off for school I felt guilty about shouting at her to get ready.i should be able to say 'get your school shoes on' many more times in a nice voice before screeching like a fishwife. It took almost the whole spinning class to lift my bad mood but then had a good day taking Heidi to gymnastics, falling over, having Jay and Josh after school, chatting to a friend on the phone and watching the first episodes of the new 'Parks and Recreation' series, I love it!
