Nap Time
I think my sleep schedule is slowly getting back to what it's supposed to be. Maybe. Sort of. If you squint hard and tilt your head.
TODAY
Boring nat res lecture by Ted the Over Qualified TA, ran into Sarah (who might be more of a mess than me?) in the library, climate change lecture (got lots of knitting done), and then went back to my room and did calc and physics literally all day.
As much as I hate it, I love it. I love the satisfaction of understanding a concept really thoroughly, and finally finishing a problem correctly, and everything snaps into place. It's like. Really really satisfying. Like cracking your back really nicely, or assembling something correctly? Just. I love when things work. Gosh.
Dinner, a beautiful letter and post card from Jess <3, FINISHED MY PROBLEM SET, nap time, and... shower concert at Von Cramm, featuring a Summertime Sadness by Becket, a sax duet by Ben and Wes, Simone and her room mate's hysterical rendition of Royals, and others. Oh gosh. It was very fun.
THIS is a Picture of My Wall, feat. Jess's Post Card
From top left to bottom right:
Fire Island, vegetable post card in French from Belinda, Rocky Mountain National Park Map (with a news paper cutting in the middle: "We shall smile together when we stop all wars." A full page ad taken out in the Times by Yoko Ono on John Lennon's birthday.), Take Back the Tap poster, my cousin Sophia and her guinea pig, Power Shift poster, this photocopy of a picture book that Ms. Turner read to us on the last day of class (Indeed. Indeed. So long, dear friends. Until we meet again.), below that is a picture of SciOly last year, a newspaper clipping of the Big Red Band, a picture of Roxy, a newspaper clipping of olive oil flavors, MIA from the Times, SciOly at States, a note someone left on a pie I made (this is AMAZING), "This Tornado Loves You: Everything's So Easy for Neko Case", Jess's post card, a magazine clipping, Fire Island, Keep Calm and Eat Your Vegetables, Fire Island, AND a map of the Platations.
If you followed all of that, bless your soul.
