A very close call

I disturbed the gentleman who smashed this window to gain entry into our house. He ran away with his bag open, but as far as we can discover, empty.

Like an idiot, I chased after him, shouting at him - until he came at me with a stick he was pulling off a bush. Eek! I ran back into my (not so safe) house and called the police.
I still feel pretty nervous.
