White Mountain

We headed over to Dingwall this morning. It had turned a lot colder and the Mountains were covered with a fresh layer of dazzling white snow. The views were amazing and we stopped to watch a pair of buzzards soar on the thermals. There were redwings in the field near to us and they flew into the bushes you can see here to finish of the berries.
We parked in the carpark and had a wander down the High Street. Dingwall has many varied shops and has an old fashion feel to it and it's quiet, so no pushing and shoving ! There are plenty of independent owners with interesting displays in the windows. I actually bought some new clothes too. A lovely jacket and a few tops :)
There's even a Wimpy so we bought a cheese burger meal and headed down to Ferry point and sat in the car looking at the view to eat it. We were joined by a little robin who looked at me pleading for some crumbs so I could nt resist and threw a bit of bun out the window but before he could eat some a female blackbird and chaffinches appeared and started eating. He did get some though.

On the drive home we saw hundreds of geese flying over and several Red Kites.
