Simple things

Not as wholesome as last week's bunch of snowdrops, but helping Littler G make cakes this afternoon and watching the pair of them decorate them after school was a lot of fun. It made a good temporary break from the general grumpiness that seems to be the order of the day much of the time at the moment, for all of us. I think we'll all be glad of half term next week... I hope that's all that's wrong anyway.

I need to get better at choosing the links I follow online. I've read too many well-meaning pages of parenting advice recently that have left me feeling pretty rubbish about my parenting. And if I stop to consider the amount of sugar in these plates, I'm sure I'll feel lousy all over again. Oh well. Maybe next week we'll try our hand at wholewheat pizza faces instead.
