The Line

On my way to a doctor's appointment in Dún Laoghaire I drove along the coast and pulled in briefly to take this, although I was late. Sometimes the most striking thing about a seascape is what isn't there, the horizon line almost invisible, the sea calm, a template for nothing happening, and a couple of distant ships –– staples holding it all together.
