Harry Lauder's Walking Stick (Corylus Avellana 'Contorta)

Also known as a Contorted Filbert or Hazelnut.

Pictured are the catkins which hang all over the tree in winter time (the tree itself stands roughly two and a half metres high - due to an earlier trim).

I am pleased I got this photo as it was a bit windy!
