Queen's Cross Church

At the beginning of the 1870's, Aberdeen began to move westwards. By 1872 there was enough settlement in the area for some leading Free Churchmen to feel that a church should be erected to serve the people living there so in 1878 the site for the Church was purchased for £1178.

Four loans of £1500 each from the bank were raised, a large sum for those days and the first service took place in the church on 18th April 1881 and it's still going strong!
