Impromptu dinner party

It started with a coffee. . . And by that I mean that a friend popped round to borrow some fuse wire, as you do. He ended up staying for tea as did friend A (who had been invited by "across the road catering" which is usually what I say when I'm inviting her.)

They really were both invited because I'd made too many potatoes and I had just made a big pot of tomato soup! I also had managed to use nearly every pot and dish in the house. This kitchen scene is after the dishwasher had already run once. Oops!
