Just a few days ago...

I posted "Eyes Wide Shut" and today while driving into town on our tiny local station I heard that the predator responsible for the murder (and other heinous crimes) against this 9 year old boy, was scheduled to be executed at 6 PM in Florida. I hadn't followed the various appeals that have been ongoing in this death row case and it has been on my mind all day. Things like this shouldn't happen to children. At 7:20 the Supreme Court rejected his final appeal and tonight my thoughts will be with Jimmy's father and of his mother who died of a heart attack five years ago.

Update: "He" was executed at 8:17 PM.
