NIGHT low-budget
Oh well,
how to start. Everybody recognizes theme I think.
Which camera is best for me?
Simple answer : Every camera
It doesn't matter which kind of camera are you using ;-)
Are you a DSLR user?
Every body should be fine, even some low-budget´s DSLR. Only lenses give you a difference, I guess.
Do you like the portrait? Go for some lenses like 50mm with f/1,8 and start to play with bokeh and nicely blurred background+start to learn about the lights and work with flash.
Do you like an architecture? So ultra-wide 10-24mm should be fine for you for beginning. Oh yes tilt-shift technology is little bit expensive and sounds like PRO.
Do you like the animals? Want to spot a deer in wilderness. Go for quality tele-zoom 70-300mm or 80-400mm. Should be fine for beginning. And don't forgot about quality tripod.
Or are you interested in world of smallest things called macro? Think about excellent magnification in ratio 1:1 and go for macro lens 60, 90, 105 mm f2,8 or similar and tripod as well.
Do you like street photography? Choose some smallest camera like Olympus PEN E-5 or similar maybe. Or ask your expert in store ;-)
Sounds so easy I know. It's more difficult when you're starting right now.
But what about a night time photography, especially when you're on low-budget level? Ha?
All right what that means? You could buy some mid-class compact like
Canon Powershot S110 or 120, NIKON Coolpix P330, SONY RX 100 and you will be satisfied with excellent optics in thin and compact body and you could beat any amateurs with low budget DSLR if you're good and creative. Everything it's possible if you know you camera very well. But usualky you couldn't beat DSLR in proper-enthusiastic, right-profi or semi-pro hands.
But what about mobile snaps and night-time photography. That's sounds almost impossible.
Forgot about Samsung, forgot about iPhone and the others.
NOKIA is back. Oh mate I know Nokia is about Windows Phone OS and you don't have more applications for that (calendar, to-do list, some games).
But what do you really need? Do you like some special apps or what?
Google+,Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,Pinterest? Yes, Windows Store has an alternative for them. You need collect every information in your hectic life and manage that? Yes EVERNOTE app is for every mobile OS, even Windows.
Stop and start talking about mobile photography again ;-)
what about photo apps?
Right ;-)
NOKIA offers basic and good camera apps for better LUMIA's models like 720,900,920,1020,1520.
Ready to spend 1,50£ for one application in Windows Store? Ready to spend another 20£ for Gorilla Joby Pod for smartphones?
Super now you are ready to use longest exposure time on your low-budget Nokia Lumia 720.Your time is 4 sec.Your max. resolution is 6 MPx and smaller mobile Carl Zeiss optics has f/1,9.
Really not bad for the year 2014.
Oh well, tram is going around the Royal Academy Building on Princes St. Quickly set the self timer and Manual mode in your brand new app "ProShot" and take a picture.
You couldn't beat DSLR, CCS or higher class of smallest compact but you could start to learn more about your mobile camera and their limits. Remember, that's the different way of imaging.
Try to make an atmospheric night shots despite the facts of noise, not so crisp images, lack of idesl sharpness, lack of microscopic details etc. Forgot about that, you're like in the old times. Share the atmosphere of the moment in your snapshots. That's the beginning :-)
Forgot about perfect and ideal shots , it's time to be back in your low-budget tablet laboratory (like the old dark room) with name Snapseed. You could post-process your image right here and right now a little bit.
And final result? Looks not so bad, is it? What do you think?
That's the beginning of understanding about mobile photos and how to get better results from your phone.
Time to start.
For the first time - in colours ;-)
#snapseed Lumia night 01
Enjoy ;-)
PS. The light trails were made by 2 trams. I don't know why but one tram was connected to second tram. Maybe some technical troubles or just training for drivers with 2 trams but it helps to final result.
And actually sorry that I'm not able to make more comments and responses.
Really big thanks for your comments. Enjoy your next blip ;-)
