Nightsnow

It's snowed most of the day but it didn't really start accumulating until suppertime. It was dark by the time I got outside to start shooting, and this is one of the first I shot. It was so dark I couldn't see through the viewfinder, so this uncropped composition was sheer luck. I did some experiments with light painting, but didn't care for the results; this one is shot with only ambient light.

I'm pretty sure what looks like heavy grain is actually falling snow, which is coming down heavily and swirling in the wind.
