Eva's photo shoot xx

We had a busy day lined up for today. With Eva's 1st Birthday party tomorrow, there was lots to do. There was the party food to get, the balloons and later on, the cake, to be delivered, and something very exciting, Eva was having her very first proper photo shoot by my lovely friend, Leah, as a birthday present to us from her.

Leah, Oli and little Noah were coming to Eva's birthday party and staying at Oli's parents just round the corner, so we drove round with a handful of pink, white and silver helium filled balloons and Eva dressed in her beautiful new party dress and bunny tights ready for her shoot.

It was so lovely to see Leah, I wish she lived nearer. Oh and little Noah is so scrumptious, he was giving Eva lots of lovely cuddles that did resemble rugby tackles at times, it was very comical.

Leah had set up a gorgeous backdrop for Eva's photos, and Leah, Mike and I spent the next hour or so pulling funny faces, singing songs, re-positioning Eva, pulling her away from the balloons and backdrop that she kept trying to grab, and Leah holding cuddly toys on her head, anything to get Eva to smile or just look Leah's way. It was great fun and I cannot wait to see the finished photos. The hard part will be choosing which ones to frame or put onto canvas.

Today's pic is a 'sneak peek' that Leah sent me of what is to come :-) I LOVE it!

Mike left around 11.20 to go off to hockey, and Eva and I left about half an hour later, as Eva was absolutely shattered and desperately needed her nap. She slept for a good 2 and a half hours, and just as she woke up, her birthday cake was delivered. A gorgeous In The Night Garden one with Macca Pacca sitting one side, Upsy Daisy the other, and her favourite, Igglepiggle in the middle. She bounced up and down in my arms, smiling away when I showed it to her. I was so excited to light the candle and us all sing Happy Birthday tomorrow at her party. Xxx
