We went to the Zoo to celebrate Murron's birthday. I always feel a little uncomfortable seeing animals enclosed and the big cats proved especially hard to see. Murron thought so too and we had quite a long chat about how we felt, weighing up the benefits of conservation and the importance of suitable enclosures. It was a good day though, Murron absorbed all the facts (as she always does) and we agreed that we liked the meercats and the penguins best.
