Donaldson's School

I was in Edinburgh again today - yesterday I had already taken my blip before the sun was properly up and did not take any pictures in Edinburgh. Thanks to everyone for all the stars and favourites...... a surprise hit!

So today I have taken a really Edinburgh photograph. Donaldson's was a residential school for deaf children - and still is but has moved out of this building which is now up for sale as flats or a hotel. As with all these old Victorian institutions there is history which mixes some good intentions with some not so good outcomes....... If you are interested you can read about it here.
