Whatever the weather..

this lot are all prepared!
Taken through the windscreen as I sat in a monstrously long traffic jam. The main road that runs along the bottom of our road is shut due to flooding so everyone is forced up over the hilly route. I'm not complaining because at least we are not wading about in a flooded house like a lot of poor souls.

Well, it has been mostly sunny here today thank goodness, but the wind is picking up again and it is much colder.

My acting skills have been brought back into play today as we gear up for Estrella's 90th Birthday bash on Saturday. I've told her a complete load of tosh about why Ed has been out all afternoon... just about getting away with it, although she does like to know every tiny detail about what everyone is up to all the time. Ed has gone to pick up her cousin from Heathrow, he has flown in from Australia for the "do" but Estrella has no idea that he is coming.

I've got to go through the same rigmarole again tomorrow morning when Ed disappears off to Gatwick to pick up another cousin who is flying in from Canada!

What with all of that, loads of water ingress problems at properties we look after and a family medical emergency panic yesterday afternoon/evening (all okay now), I may be forced to have one or two glasses of vino tonight!
