Unfamiliar Territory

When it comes to navigating myself around town I am most definitely a creature of habit. Any slight detour and I am liable to get lost. Between my scant local knowledge of geography and with the help of a satnav I usually manage to get around.

I had a meeting just off the west end of Union Street this afternoon. Not too far off the beaten track., in fact Union Street was almost in sight. I was a little early so I had a short wonder around. I approached this building from a different direction from normal, when I turned the corner I realised what it was.

Looking at the building with fresh eyes I noticed how "Poirotesque" it is. It must be a 1920s art deco design. Not sure that art deco works in granite however.
