The shape of things to come

This is the Duncan Rice library at Aberdeen University. It is a bit of a monstrosity to look at on a medieval campus but inside it is nice and functional. It still looks like a library full of books but cost over £60 million to build. I am not sure it was worth it because it is also built so that outside is a wind tunnel. However it does give the people in the cafe something to laugh about and watch as they sit in the warm.
