Mushstools? Toadrooms?

DDW's Alphabet Challenge Day 13 : M is for mushrooms

Or could they be toadstools? I have no idea which they are, but they are small and I liked that they were growing in bit of a clump. These are at the bottom of a tree and huge drops of water were splattering over me as I took the pic, kneeling in the mud and trying not to get knocked over by 3 rampaging dogs...

It has been a good day. I was off work and gave HV a bit of a hand demolishing a couple of cupboards in the sitting room she has been stripping for a while. Tomorrow, we must have a bonfire....
