The great hedge laying!

The forecast was accurate and the rain stayed away - but it was bitterly cold. Learned how to use a bill hook, but had to do it two handed to have any effect. The 'bending' of the trees was quite hard. I was told that I was a 'very determined lady' when hacking away! They did tell me to think of someone or something I didn't like and vent my anger on the tree!!! You are not allowed to wear a glove on the hand holding the bill hook - so short stints were in order or suffer frozen fingers.
