Scones...

...with jam and cream.

The first part of my day was taken up with the dark dealings of pain after an appointment with the physio, and only managing a 15 minute walk with the dog.
But when I got home the talented Miss L had made scones which I had with jam & cream (and a pot of tea) when the lovely Mrs G. visited for a good long chat.
I then had a fb message from my bff cousin who's 1000s of miles away and has been too unwell to communicate lately.
What a lovely day it's turned out to be!

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour devoted to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.
