M is for Magpie

It has been really cold and windy all day so I stayed indoors. It started raining at around 4pm - just as Neil was about to go out. He had a day off today and has been catching up on sleep. Now he has gone to his girlfriends - via a supermarket. He is cooking a 3 course Valentines meal this evening. Well he was supposed to be cooking 3 courses and the dessert he had in mind was a cheesecake. After checking the internet for recipes he realised that time wasn't on his side and that a cheesecake needs time to chill. So he is just going to buy one when he goes to buy the ingredients for his other 2 courses.

A new " hoover " I bought online arrived today. So I gave it a try. Not as powerful as I would have liked but never mind.

Wondered what to blip for the Forum Challenge letter M and decided to put some bird food out and lurk in the kitchen till a Magpie made an appearance. Didn't have to wait long and managed to get a shot through the ( ever so mucky ) kitchen window. Because the shot wasn't as clear as I wanted I have done a bit of processing.

The old magpie rhyme " One for sorrow " is certainly appropriate at the moment for all Newcastle United supporters. The team's nickname is The Magpies due to them wearing black and white colours.
