Why did the Robin cross the road?

Today I discovered why I'm not a wildlife photographer. Apart from technical ability, it's down to patience. Something I sadly lack.

But I did wait long enough in the cold to snap this little chap. There's something about his stance that reminds me of trying to cross a road in a busy city... waiting intently for a gap in the traffic.
