Winter Warbler
I happened upon this chirpy little chappy in the park this morning as I wound my merry way to work.
I allowed myself an extra 5 minutes & fancied taking my camera with me. Lucky I did too as this erithacus rubecula (oh I do my research) was singing loud & bobbing in & out of this twiggy hideout. I love the robin, such a sweet & friendly bird.
Work's been ramping up this week. We've had more than a few people off on winter breaks & a few colleagues have moved onto new jobs, so it's essentially meant that my responsibilities have increased & it has been an interesting & full on few days.
Winter Olympics highlights of the day - the exciting Ladies' Downhill this morning before work, a pity Chemmy Alcott couldn't climb higher but a top 20 finish is brilliant. Post work I enjoyed the Ladies' Snowboarding Halfpipe, but what a shame so many fell. How exciting but nerve-racking the Olympics must be.
