Friendly Neighborhood Artist
Not my neighbor photo, but the best I could do with painting all day. Nearly finished with the final image. This one is actually a photograph of mine that I shot of the greenbelt path along the Boise River that George Baggely helped establish back in the early 1970s. It's my photographic contribution to the project.
I should be done with this image painting on Sunday, then have to do some graphic work around the entire building before the project is actually completed.
Two people that visited me painting yesterday took my photo (that's three photos of me for the entire duration of the project so far, not counting the photos I've taken). The other night after I finished tracing, around 11:30pm, and was packing up, I was visited by the police again. He was just patrolling the street and saw my flashlight as I was hauling gear back to my truck. The park's closed after dark so he investigated. I thought it was fitting on my last night of tracing. Not many visitors today due to the heat (upwards of 100 degrees). I will be back out there on Sunday to finish, and the weather's supposed to be cooler. So, hopefully there will be more people out and about as well.
I'll be glad once it's done, but will miss the work (a little). It got me outside and away from the computer! Next project: photographing a badger at the local wildlife refuge.
