Blood Donation

There is a dire need for blood here, so one of the members of our frisbee team organised a blood drive, making it into a competition between different sports teams as to which team could contribute the most - hockey, frisbee or touch rugby. Frisbee took the disc!

An interesting experience - health standards here don't excel, but the guy who organised it had done his homework to make sure it was safe. None-the-less, there weren't many checks to ensure you were a safe donor. I was glad I did it though and hope to make it as regular as I can (they do have a restriction which only allows you to give once every 4 months).
