Detail of "at the Docks"

Another oil painting in progress relating to my work for the Absent Voices Arts Project.
The scene is set at the Greenock docks.
In the distance is the once thriving sugar sheds.....now a shell of what once was.
The figures shown are a couple from the victorian times who worked there. The other figure is a teddy boy who worked in the sheds in the late 50s. They could have been related, as generations of families were involved in the sugar induatry. This not only happened in Britain, but where the sugar cane originated.
