Damage

This is all that remains of a Mountain Ash tree in my front garden, blown down in the storms on Wednesday night. The tree was not very strong and I had thought of removing it anyway.

It has taken me two days to remove all the upper branches and cut them into small pieces for disposal. All the twigs have just been taken away by our local garden waste recycling collection. The larger logs with be available as firewood for anyone who wants them. And then I will have to find a way of getting the stump out of the ground. I have no energy left to bother with the gym today.

It is not easy being a lumberjack.
