I have known Andrea since I was ten. Today we went to her Mum's funeral. It is no surprise that Andrea is so grounded as her Mum was more consistently kind and gentle than anyone I have known. I can honestly say that throughout our teenage years she didn't ever raise her voice or even express disapproval , she was just interested and smiling. This is a shot of Irene who she met when she was five. We all managed fairly well today until Irene simply said " she was the best friend I ever had".
