Little Market Hall
I had to go into High Wycombe today, not my favourite place but it does have some interesting buildings. This, as the name suggests, usually has a market in and around it when I visit so I didn't ever really notice it. Blip certainly makes you see things you would otherwise just walk past, as I have done to this building more times than I care to mention!
It was built in 1761, apparently to rehouse The Shambles and Buttermarket, by the architect Robert Adams (Pevsner says it is not one of his masterpieces, but Pevsner can be such a grump sometimes!) If you look closely you can see that it has 'To London 29 miles' and 'To Oxford 25 miles' on the white mid section of the building.
Sun was shining today but more storms on their way for tomorrow.....
