Drying off

Jacob, Henny and I enjoyed a long leisurely walk this morning, stopping off to buy some Valentine chocolates for Jacobs friends.
The days highlight for me was seeing Rachel, Eva and Anna arrive (bringing get well treats for Henny), to take Jacob with them to the botanics. Jacob gave me a swift kiss and wave goodbye before handing out his chocolates and happily taking Rachel's hand. I enjoyed a lovely relaxing hour reading by the fire before the four of them arrived back wet and cold. Jacob changed into pjs and warmed up by the fire watching the snowman, while I watched snow fall outside and made his tea.
A lovely valentines evening for Stephan and I enjoying Charlie&Evelyn's amazing Asian braised beef and a bottle of wine watching the new series of House of Cards. All that could be heard was "mmmm" at the food and "oooo" at the storyline.
