The museum.
I spent the morning tidying, cleaning, washing and vacuuming. So I felt I deserved to get out of the house.
I spent some of the afternoon at the museum. The Egyptian stuff, the vikings, the statues on the top floor. The top floor is nearly always peaceful and child free.
Then I stood in the doorway and looked at the rain. The teeming rain. In the end I had no choice, so I stepped out into the rain, which promptly changed to sleet. By the time I reached the pub (half way home, only sensible) I was bedraggled and shivering.
A hot coffee and good company soon cheered me up.
Home now, curried chick peas, rice and gnocchi. Mmmmm.
