Red velvet petals,
Unfurl their florid meaning
Transcending language.

After the brief respite yesterday, back to wild weather today. A day to be thankful for working from home.

Valentine's day. Always been a bit ambivalent about it as it seems harsh for those not coupled up. But one thing which is interesting is the way flowers are used to express feelings in a way that is universally understood. The deep indulgent red of rose petals is hard to beat as a metaphor for passion.

I am going to a tango/bellydance fusion workshop tomorrow, and we have been asked to bring high heels and a red rose ..... watch this space.....!
