Man - Spunk Rock (1972)
Great to hear Topper Headon, the Clash drummer, picking this track to play on Cerys Matthews' 6 Music show on this day last weekend, with a special mention to the drummer in Man, Terry Williams. This version of their signature piece was recorded live at the Roundhouse in London in February 1972 and took up all of side one of the album of the event, the Greasy Truckers Party, which also featured like-minded bands such as Brinsley Schwarz and Hawkwind.
