Perseverence
Been a week for it.
Eldest son contracted my lurgy and was floored by it.
He was meant to be singing with his band tonight.
It was touch and go whether he would even make it after 3 days off school.
Lots of sleep, lots of Strepsils, Sudafed, painkillers and fluids and he was ready to rock but not quite roll - he couldn't sing.
They did themselves proud with no singer and a dodgy guitar connection.
These lessons will stand them in good stead - hats off to all the kids who took to the stage tonight.
Wee Niamh skied for 2 hours under the patient tutelage of my friend's lovely teenage daughter who encouraged her down a wee black run....
My own hurdle today was being dragged up a hill for a couple of hours by a very fit friend. No mean feat after two weeks of barely being able to get out of bed.
The views over Edinburgh were lovely but the snow dusted hills appealed more.
