Vet Detective

I had a blast today talking with kids from Kindergarten through 2nd grade about Veterinary medicine. The kids were so enthusiastic. They loved doing abdominal palpation on their little stuffed dogs (see yesterday) to find the penny. And they really loved it when the school's therapy dog came by for some cardiac auscultation (listening to the heartbeat).

This class was part of Exploration Friday at Bob's school, which happens 4 times a year. They offer classes on everything from Keeping Phoenix Beautiful, Cheer, Spray Painting, What is Gluten, to Flambé dessert making (Bob loved that).
