River Ray running fast

I took this picture on a walk round the local country park on Tuesday. The river was running much faster and fuller than is usual, but is probably a lot lower than it was a few days earlier when the park was flooded once again.

I guess all this water has by now (Saturday) not only joined the Thames, but flowed on down and may well be adding to the flooding nearer London.

Just reminds me that actions we take can have implications for others far away and at different times.
