Mr Gum

If you have young children you will know all about the Mr Gum books. The author, Andy Stanton , came to the Village Bookshop today for a signing session. It was great. The queue of children waiting patiently for their books to be signed stretched down the street.

There was face painting, cup cakes and a welcome from the Mayor. And Andy is hilarious, keeping up a continuous banter with the children all afternoon. It seems he was once a stand up comic.

The previous owner of the shop, Aliscotia would be thrilled with the success of the day.
