Ancient doorway ... modernish door

Last summer I got a bit obsessed with French doorways ... Today I thought I should be blipping a few splendid examples around and about us, here.

So ...to start with, here is a fine 17th century one in Scotforth. It gives straight onto the pavement opposite Booths supermarket. It would be great to be able to get a glimpse of how it looked brand new. I should think it looked very grand amongst a few cottages. Where is the Tardis when you need it?!
