Anemone blanda

Pete and I made our usual Valentine's Day visit to a nearby garden centre, to buy some spring flowers for the garden. We had decide to buy some more winter aconites, as we'd like to try and establish a colony in the front garden, but couldn't resist a couple of pots of Anemone blanda too. I particularly love blue flowers, and have tried to grow this before, but it's never persisted, probably because of the soggy clay soil and slugs. This time we've planted it in two locations in the front garden, which are better drained. So, fingers crossed that it likes its new home.
