Cliff Fall West Bay
We had to go to Bournemouth today to buy base layers for Stanley's trip to Iceland next month. so unusually he spent the day out with us !
After sorting him out we went to West Bay but we were too late for lunch. the main car park was closed due to the number of trees down so we headed for the beach car park which was filled with emergency service vehicles - fire, ambulance , police and coastguards. The blip is the view of the beach towards the east cliffs which we later found out had partly fallen with 400 tonnes of rock crashing to the shore. it sadly mimiced the scene from Broadchurch but thankfully it is not believed anyone was underneath.
Elsewhere there seemed to be trees uprooted nearly everywhere especially where the roots had been weakened by water. we only had one fence panel out so we have been really fortunate compared to so many.
